Theme Song / Opening Credits

There were 8 seasons and 254 episodes of Bewitched. We have not completed an episode guide for this show yet.

Nielsen ratings for the show dropped 13 places when Dick Sargent replaced Dick York.

Endora did have a last name, but she told Darrin in one episode that he wouldn’t be able to pronounce it.

Hanna Barbera created the animated opening sequence for the show.

The Stephens’ address was 1164 Morning Glory Circle, Westport, Connecticut.

The back pain that caused Dick York’s departure from the show was the result of an accident while filming the Gary Cooper western “They Came to Condura”. They were filming a scene on a hand-cart down a railroad track which was loaded with “wounded” men. York was working the lever mechanism when the director yelled “cut!”. One of the actors playing one of the wounded reached up and grabbed the lever. Because of the extra 180 pounds of weight, York’s back muscles tore. He was in such severe pain that he eventually became addicted to pain killers.

Samantha: Then I thought of the most brilliant scientific mind of the age.
Dr. Bombay: Thank you.
Samantha: But he died a year ago, so I decided to call you.

Samantha: I’m not a bad witch! I’m a good witch!
Darrin Stephens: Her mother’s a bad witch.
