Cheers

This sitcom follows the lives of the bar staff and regular patrons at the Boston bar Cheers, where everybody knows your name. They are a disparate group and largely self-described “losers”, but bond over their shared status at a bar they consider “home”.

Trivia

George Wendt’s real life wife, Bernadette Birkett, supplied the voice of Norm’s unseen wife Vera.

John Ratzenberger’s role of Cliff was not originally in the script. He had auditioned for the part of George and didn’t get the part. He asked if they had a “bar know-it-all” and proceeded to improvise a character, which impressed the producers enough to landed him the role as Cliff.

Quotes

(Whenever Norm walks in…) Everyone: NORM!

Norm: It’s a dog eat dog world, and I’m wearing Milkbone underwear.
